- Contrasting thread
Spice up your denim shorts with a printed pocket
Carefully remove the back pocket of your denim shorts using a seam ripper. Lay the denim pocket face down on contrast fabric and measure 2cm from the edge. Mark out using a pencil and cut out the printed patch.
Fold and press a 2cm edge onto the wrong side of the pocket and pin in place. In contrasting thread, machine a double row of stitching across the top and 5mm from the edge on the remaining three sides.
Finally, pin the contrast patch in position, before stitching around the edge of the pocket. Make sure the patch is securely fastened, back tacking over the beginning and end where necessary.
