The new Atelier 5 is Janome’s latest computerised sewing machine and will make light work of all your sewing projects. It’s so versatile, there are three optional kits available, one for quilting, one for home furnishings and a third for fashion sewing. There are 170 stitches to choose from on the selection panel beneath the top cover. The high resolution touch screen allows you to edit your options including five times stitch elongation and mirror imaging. There are 10 buttonhole styles, plus an alphabet for creating monograms. Adjustable foot pressure allows you to sew with any fabric thickness and the long arm and knee lifter all aid quilting. A number of great features aid ease of use, including an easy set bobbin, auto cutter on the bobbin winder, auto thread tension and thread cutter, and a built-in needle threader. There’s a start/stop button, so you can sew without the foot pedal and a maximum speed controller.
