Create an applique picture
Download and print the tree, leaf and pomegranate templates, then trace around them onto the paper side of fusible webbing. Cut out the tree, followed by nine pomegranates and 46 leaves in various sizes. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, iron onto the wrong side of the fabric, then cut out.
Remove the paper backing from the fabric pieces. Place the tree onto the centre of casement fabric and, using our images as a guide, arrange the leaves and pomegranates onto the branches of the tree. Iron all pieces to secure.
Using one strand of embroidery thread, whip stitch the tree and each leaf and pomegranate into place. Finish the edges of the casement fabric with a hem or liquid seam sealer, and install into the photo frame.
