Series 3 finalist, Lorna Monje has sadly passed away after a lengthy battle with Aplastic Anaemia. The Great British Sewing Bee star was a much loved contestant, with her amazing dress sense and stitchy know-how. Her talents led her to reach the final, along with being an inspiration to us and so many other stitchers. Her flair for life was certainly reflected in the joy that she found in her creative talents.

As well as sewing, Lorna had many passions, including travelling and painting, and would often be known to practice all three where she could. Her family share many a fond memory of her huge smile and love of all things sewing.
