About this pattern

Introducing a bunny-brilliant pair of pull-on shorts that are as comfy as they are cute!

With just four simple steps, these elasticated-waist shorts are perfect for beginner stitchers building on their dressmaking skills. Made using a mix of rabbit-themed fabrics, they’re ideal for little ones aged 5 to 6 who love to bounce, play, and look hare-raisingly stylish. The best bit? There’s a matching bunny patch pocket you can stitch onto a plain jersey tee for extra floppy-eared fun! Not into bunnies? Simply switch up the fabrics to match your child’s favourite things: dinosaurs, diggers... take your pick!

Essentials

  • Fabric, cotton: printed; plain
  • Elastic, 2cm wide

    Top sewing tip

When stitching a cotton pocket to a jersey t-shirt, place a small square of lightweight fusible interfacing on the inside of the t-shirt where the pocket will go. This helps prevent stretching and puckering while sewing.
