Makeover a Chair
Prepare an old chair by rubbing with sandpaper to remove any remaining paint or varnish. Following the manufacturers instructions, respray the chair in your preferred colour. Trim the foam pad to fit the size of your chair. Depending on the shape of your seat this may be a square, rectangle or even a circle.
Cut your fabric and place the thin side strip to the upper cushion, with right sides facing. Ensure that the strip is pinned evenly around the edge, mitring the corners as you pin. Working with a 1.5cm seam allowance, stitch the strip in place leaving 6cm unstitched at either end.
Pin the second piece of fabric to the strip with right sides together, and as before sew to join, leaving a 6cm unstitched at either end
