About this pattern

Ahoy there! Craft a nautical cushion and greeting card set with Sophia Palmer's easy sewing pattern.

It’s time to slip off your deck shoes and put pedal to the metal to create Sophia Palmer’s two-step appliqué projects. The cushion is a fantastic way to add a homely touch to a coastal kid’s room, while the whale card is a stellar method of using up those odds and ends left once you’ve finished the first project.

Essentials

  • Fabric: red stripe, white; scraps, red, blue
  • Cushion pad, 30cm
  • Fusible webbing
  • Iron-on interfacing
  • A6 card blank

    Top sewing tip

Instead of a traditional boat design, why not try something different, such as a fish or octopus, for the main motif?
