About this pattern

Follow Corinne Bradd's east steps to create a plush friend ready for endless adventures and cuddles.

Eloise is part of our Dressimal series. Once you've made the basic body, you can customise this design by swapping heads and outfits to make a zoo of cuddly animals. Eloise the Elephant loves to dance and twirl around in her reversible cotton dress, which comes with two handy pockets that are big enough to store a £2 coin. All you need is some printed cotton, embroidery thread and an assortment of stuffing from your habby stash to create this future friend. Don't forget to print out one of our toy labels before gifting!

Essentials

  • Cotton fabric, plain and patterned
  • Embroidery thread
  • Fibre filling
  • Lightweight quilt wadding
  • Snap fasteners
  • We used Art Gallery Fabrics’ Maven range by Maureen Cracknell for Eloise’s outfit. For Eloise's body, we used two shades of grey from the Pure Solids range by AGF Studio.

    Top sewing tip

Add in small amount of the fibre filling to avoid lumps. Gently tease fibres apart before stuffing tight corners. Finish by smoothing the surface for a plush shape.
