About this pattern

Welcome back to part two of your Christmas quilt-along. With the tree blocks already made up, it’s time to get started on some striking geometric star blocks to complete the design. You’ll then master how to piece all of your blocks together and finish with a backing to create one beautiful cohesive quilt.

Essentials

Fabrics, cotton: printed and plain coordinating fat quarters; plain backing
Quilt wadding

Cutting guide

Each star block requires:
Fabric A (background): four 8cm squares; one 9.5cm square
Fabric B (centre square): one 8cm square
Fabric C (star points): two 8.5cm squares
Fabric D (star points): one 9.5cm square
5mm seam allowance used throughout, unless otherwise stated.

Top sewing tip

Stack multiple fabric layers and cut them together to produce matching pieces quickly.
