About this pattern

Even if you have the greenest of fingers, your gardening kit would be incomplete without this handy bag, tool pouch and kneeler combo to ‘sew’ your seeds with (see what we did there?).

Designer Chloe Hailwood has designed these beauties with the rough wear and tear of the outdoors in mind, using a thick fabric, strong thread and double-stitched seams. Give them a go!

Essentials

  • Fabric, heavy-weight woven canvas: turquoise, striped
  • Foam, 5mm x 30cm x 45cm
  • Zip, 25.5cm
  • Snap fasteners, 21mm, two
  • Cotton cord, 8mm x 1.5m

    Top sewing tip

Polyester thread is ideal for outdoor projects, as it’s more durable than cotton. Make sure to double stitch seams when using fabrics that fray easily or need extra strength in their construction.
