About this pattern

Add a sprinkle of woodland magic to your sewing with this fun toadstool tote bag pattern from Corinne Bradd.

In part one of this project, you’ll learn how to stitch your very own mushroom-shaped bag – perfect for nature lovers and crafty wanderers alike. With its whimsical design and handy storage, it’s as practical as it is playful. Stay tuned for part two, where Corinne shows you how to create a whole host of felt creatures to tuck inside.

Essentials

  • Fabric: patterned cotton in pale and darker shades; plain pink or red cotton fabric
  • Felt, white
  • Medium weight quilt wadding
  • Lightweight iron-on interfacing
  • Zip, 40cm
  • Fabric glue

    Top sewing tip

Sewing felt to cotton fabric requires sharp needles and strong thread. Pin layers securely, and avoid stretching either fabric.
