About this pattern

Jars are incredibly versatile and easy to upcycle, that’s why SewHQ designer Corinne Bradd has created these multi-purpose storage pots, so you can pack away your haberdashery bits and bobs, and use the lid to sink your pins into.

This DIY project is a great one for beginner stitchers; with just a few scraps of fabric and the super-easy running stitch, you can whip up three of these in under an hour. They make great gifts for Christmas, too!

Essentials

    Top sewing tip

For a neat running stitch, keep even spacing between stitches and consistent tension. Use a sharp needle and thread suitable for your fabric. Practice on scrap material first, and gently guide the fabric without pulling too tightly to avoid puckering.
