Sew a Liberty Collar
Cut 36cm x 46cm each from Liberty print, cream cotton and medium weight fusible interfacing. Iron the interfacing onto the wrong side of the printed fabric, then fold the whole piece in half.
Download and print the template. Place the collar shape onto the folded edge of the interfaced fabric. Trace the outline, then pin and cut out. Repeat with the cream cotton for the lining.
Cut two 36cm pieces of ribbon and pin them 1cm down from the two top corners on each side edge of the collar, facing inwards on top of the Liberty fabric. Pin the lining right sides together on top, making sure you tuck the ribbons inside away from the seams so as not to sew over them.
Leaving a 12cm gap along the middle of the neck edge, stitch around the outside of the collar. Snip the curves, trim the corners and turn through, making sure you push the corners out neatly. Press. Hand sew the gap using coordinating thread and cut the ribbon edges diagonally to avoid fraying.
